Videojet launches Unicorn II large character ink jet printer

NEW VIDEOJET® UNICORN II LARGE CHARACTER PRINTER PROVIDES SINGLE OR DUAL LINE CODING, ENHANCED LANGUAGE CAPABILITIES

The new Videojet Unicorn® II large character ink jet printer from Videojet Technologies Inc. is a complete, all-inclusive printing system for reliable and cost-effective single or dual line coding on secondary packaging, such as corrugated boxes and cases. Pre-loaded, selectable languages and printable characters increase flexibility and improve operator efficiencies by making it easy for operators to change the language required for coding and change the language appearing on the interface. The printer is easy to use and maintain and offers standard print heights of 25 mm and print speeds up to 60 metres per minute

Simple to set up and operate, the Unicorn II facilitates quick installation and enhances productivity. The system includes a controller/keypad, a printhead, a power pack, a power cord, a pressurised ink bottle and brackets for mounting directly to a conveyor. The hassle-free ink bottles can be replaced quickly and conveniently, and do not require an external air supply.

Intuitive icons allow operators to adjust and edit product codes — including time and date codes, expiry dates, and rollover hours — with a few simple keystrokes. Menu-driven programs also provide accurate automatic date changes, clock functions and consecutive counts.
