Videojet’s coding and marking solutions have a number of features that are designed to deliver the highest possible uptime for your confectionery production lines. Our 1000 Series small character ink jet printers with their Clean FlowTM printheads drastically reduce the required cleaning cycles compared to other ink jet printers, delivering longer print runs between preventative maintenance. The 1000 Series Core design ensures that maintenance is predictable and can be planned far in advance. Videojet’s DataFlex Plus thermal transfer overprinter has few wear parts, and together with its clutchless ribbon drive, the increased mechanical reliability minimises downtime. Our 3000 Series laser markers with their excellent print quality and their modular design deliver clear and consistent code quality over long periods of time with minimal user interaction.

Economy

We understand that economy is key to any confectionery production. Videojet’s printers are designed to minimise both operational cost and cost of maintenance. On our 1000 Series small character ink jet printer, fluids are automatically controlled and adapted to the ambient conditions to deliver consistent print quality on confectionery packages – to give you the maximum number of prints per cartridge. The DataFlex Plus comes with a 1,000 metre ribbon length, and with only a 0.5 mm gap between prints from the beginning to the end of the ribbon roll, it delivers more prints per roll and ensures highest possible ribbon efficiency. Our laser coders have no fluid consumables at all, making their operational cost extremely attractive for applications where line economy is the primary objective.

Clean

The Videojet 1000 Series has revolutionised the operation of small character ink jet printers by implementing the Smart Cartridge system. These self contained cartridges prevent spills during refill and drastically reduce the smell of solvents that may affect the quality perception of confectionery products. In addition, the printer detects what cartridge is inserted, eliminating mistakes caused by incompatible fluid refills. The Dataflex Plus thermal transfer printer delivers clean prints and no mess during ribbon exchange due to the design of the ribbon cassette.

Ease of operation

All our printers come with an intuitive and easy to operate user interface. This makes daily tasks simple and helps new operators to adapt easily. In addition, all printers can be networked to receive data from an ERP system or from production line control. In this case, operator interaction is further reduced, which helps to prevent manual code entry errors. The information to be printed is displayed together with other data, delivering all required printer information at a glance.

Due to their modular and mobile design, our 1000 Series printers can be easily moved from one confectionery production line to another, giving more flexibility when running multiple production lines.
